WB

WB is a C library of a variant of B-tree, which "Wanna B-tree", created by Roland Zito-Wolf, Jonathan Finger and Aubrey Jaffer with new devices, featureing:

• Simultaneous operations on multiple B-trees.
• A file of 8796GB containing multiple B-Trees by default.
• Fast searching by forward key chaining.
• Efficient searching and optimized disk space by prefix and suffix key compression.
• Efficient disk space by optimized B-tree structure.
• Robustness by simplified codings.

  "Heavily" used for a decade at Holland Mark Martin. Routinely runs with databases of several hundred Megabytes.
  I myself use moderately some 10s of MB databases routinely since years. No need to say that the logic of the program is not affected by the scale and I think the system is robust enough.

• Interfaces with SCM and SLIB thus allowing to handle the database with Scheme.
